Bloomwood Flower Design was developed so that I could grow and create beautiful bouquets and arrangements for weddings, events and everything else floral. My floral creations are a combination of modern elegance and rustic country design, like they have come straight from the garden.
My story: Since buying our lifestyle property in Gladstone Wairarapa, it has always been a dream to use our space to its full potential, expanding on its natural beauty. When all our children had started school, I decided it was time to develop my hobby into a small business.
Over time, I have been building up the flower garden with interesting flowers and foliage to use in my bouquets. Eventually I intend to host small workshops and garden tours to compliment the many other wonderful activities and events that are available in Gladstone and the Wairarapa.
Bloomwood Flower Design is earth conscious. My bouquets are wrapped simply, in only paper and jute string. All can be composted or burned so there is virtually nothing for landfill. For big events I use things that are either already repurposed or can be reused or recycled after the event. I work hard to ensure there is minimal waste from plastic or other non reusable materials.
